Sandra Bullock's having a Premonition. Daily Variety reports
the actress, last seen in the sleeper ensemble drama Crash, is negotiating
to star in the feature drama that will mark the Hollywood directorial debut
of German helmer Mennan Yapo. Shooting is slated to begin in January in Louisiana
with Ashok Amritraj's Hyde Park financing and TriStar Pictures distributing.
From a script by Bill Kelly, Premonition centers on a Southern woman
(Bullock) who has a vision of her husband dying in a car accident. She sets
out to prevent the accident from taking place.
Amritraj is producing with Jon Jashni, Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Sunil
Perkash. Matt Brodlie, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Production,
will be overseeing for the Valerie Van Galder-run TriStar.
Bullock is currently starring with Keanu Reeves in Il Mare and will
soon be seen as Harper Lee in the Doug McGrath-helmed Truman Capote biopic Have
You Heard?. In addition to Crash, her recent credits include Miss
Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous, Two Weeks Notice and Divine
Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.
