Bergman takes over as President of Disney Studios

If he can work things out with the Weinsteins, he can work with anybody, apparently. Alan Bergman has been promoted at Disney...to President of Disney Studios, reporting directly to Chairman Dick Cook.
Bergman was Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer at Disney, and one of his recent jobs was to oversee the Miramax settlement with Harvey and Bob Weinstein and the repurposing of the Miramax brand at the studio.
Now, Bergman will be in charge of all the divisions under the Disney Studio banner, including the Buena Vista Motion Pictures Group, Buena Vista Television, Disney Theatrical Productions, The Music Group and Buena Vista Home Entertainment.
He told Daily Variety the first item on his to do list is to focus on new technologies and deal with the changes in the economics of the movies.
