Best Actor nominee David Strathairn's agent is keeping him busy. The lead actor from Good Night, and Good Luck has just signed up for a murder thriller called Fracture, being put together at New Line Cinema. Gregory Hoblit will direct the Castle Rock Entertainment film.
The central action of the film revolves around characters played by Ryan Gosling and Sir Anthony Hopkins. Hopkins' character attempted to murder his wife but was freed on a legality…and Gosling, a deputy DA, seeks to correct that miscarriage of justice. Strathairn will play Gosling's boss, the District Attorney.
Strathairn played journalistic legend Edward R. Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck and has been nominated as Best Actor in most of the major award competitions. So far, however, he's been watching from his seat as they've been awarded.
