America's favorite "Dog" Randy Jackson back for three more years
Randy Jackson has joined Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell in extending his deal with American Idol for three more years, Daily Variety reports. Fox Entertainment president Peter Liguori has said Jackson's talents "as a musician, A&R executive and referee make him invaluable to the show."

Jackson has been a judge on the hit talent show since it launched in 2002. He played with the rock group Journey before serving as the vice president of A&R at Columbia Records for eight years. Afterwards he spent four years as senior vice president at MCA Records. Artists such as Mariah Carey, Madonna, Elton John and Whitney Houston are among the many that he has worked with during his lucrative career.

Fans will be able to vote for their Idol for several seasons to come, now that all the judges, as well as the show's host, Ryan Seacrest, have signed deals to stay with the show. Paula Abdul signed a three-year deal in March, while Simon Cowell has negotiated to remain with the show for five more seasons.
