ACE Honors Two
Donn Cambern and John A. Martinelli honored for lifetime achievement by Cinema

Film editors Donn Cambern and John A. Martinelli have been selected by the
American Cinema Editors to receive lifetime career achievement awards. The honors
will be presented at the 54th annual ACE Eddie Awards on February 15th at Merv
Griffin's Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Cambern has edited more than 40 features, including Easy Rider, The Last Picture Show, Blume in Love, Cinderella Liberty, Cannonball Run, Tempest and Twins. He received an Oscar nomination for his work on Romancing the Stone in 1984. He is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, ACE, the DGA and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
Martinelli has done much television work, winning Emmy Awards for The Legend of Lizzie Borden, The Defection of Simas Kudirka, Murder in Texas and The Murder of Mary Phagan. He received Emmy nominations for The Winds of Kitty Hawk, S.O.S. Titanic and the miniseries Marco Polo, A.D. and World War II, When Lions Roared. Martinelli has served five terms as president of American Cinema Editors and has worked as associate producer, line producer, second unit director and actor.
