Gigli Rules Razzies
Ben Affleck/Jennifer Lopez collaboration takes home nine Razzie Award nominations.

First it was the announce~ment that they broke off their engage~ment. Now, Bennifer
must face the fact that their recent on-screen collabor~ation, Gigli,
racked up nine Razzie Award nominations, including Worst Picture of the year,
as voted by members of the Golden Raspberry Awards committee. Now in its 24th
year, the group will reveal its selections for worst films and performances of 2003 on February 28th in Santa Monica, the day before the Oscars.
Gigli led the way with its nine nominations followed closely by Dr.
Seuss' The Cat in the Hat and the American Idol movie spin-off From
Justin to Kelly, which both picked up eight nods. Both Cat and Justin
to Kelly also earned Worst Picture nods, as did Charlie's Angels: Full
Throttle and the reality movie The Real Cancun.
Ben Affleck's performance in Gigli, as well as Daredevil and Paycheck, landed him a spot on the Worst Actor list. He's joined in the dis-honor by Cuba Gooding Jr. (Boat Trip, Radio, The Fighting Temptations), Justin to Kelly's Justin Guarini, Ashton Kutcher for Cheaper by the Dozen, Just Married and My Boss's Daughter and Mike Myers for Cat.
Gigli garnered Jennifer Lopez a nod for Worst Actress, and Justin
to Kelly won a mention on the list for Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.
Full Throttle co-stars Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore also received
mention, with Barrymore also being cited for Duplex. Angelina Jolie rounds
out this year's list of leading actresses for her work in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and Beyond Borders.
Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Lainie Kazan all were cited in the Worst
Supporting Actor/Actress categories for Gigli, and the film's Martin
Brest walked away with Worst Director and Worst Screenplay nods. Walken's performance
in Kangaroo Jack aided in his addition to the list.
