John Rhys-Davies (The Lord of the Rings) has signed on to help save
the world again by co-starring in the NBC drama pilot Revelations.
The possible limited-run series is about a group's efforts to forestall the apocalypse, with Bill Pullman as the group's leader. Rhys-Davies plays a wheelchair-bound Harvard professor emeritus, a genius astrophysicist and mentor to Pullman's character.
Rhys-Davies, who is perhaps best known in the U.S. for playing the dwarf Gimli for Peter Jackson, is represented by Agency for the Performing Arts' Barry McPherson and manager Louisa Spring. He'll next appear in The Princess Diaries 2.
