Oscar nominee and Emmy winner William H. Macy is gearing up for a ride on his
hog. Macy will join Tim Allen, John Travolta and Martin Lawrence in the road
comedy Wild Hogs for Touchstone Pictures. Walt Becker is helming the
project, which will begin filming sometime next month in New Mexico.
From a script by Brad Copeland, the story centers on a group of middle-aged
biker wannabes going through mid-life crises. Frustrated with their mundane
existences, they hop on their bikes and hit the high roads in search of adventure.
They get more than they bargained for, however, when they come across a real
Hells Angels group.
Tollin/Robbins Productions will be producing the film with Mike Tollin and
Brian Robbins taking producing credits. At Touchstone, Kristin Burr will be
overseeing the project.
Repped by CAA, Macy can currently be seen on the big screen with Aaron Eckhart
in the Jason Reitman satire Thank You for Smoking. He was nominated for
a Best Supporting Actor Oscar back in 1997 for his work in Fargo. An
eight-time Emmy nominee, Macy won two trophies in 2003 for starring in and producing
the TNT made-for Door to Door. Next up for the actor in the Emilio Estevez
ensemble drama Bobby.
