What happens when the comic book villain unexpectedly wins? That's the premise of Master Mind, now in preproduction for DreamWorks Animation.
The Hollywood Reporter indicates DreamWorks has brought Ben Stiller aboard as the title character in Master Mind, a baddie who goes into a depression when he accidentally kills off his archrival Uberman. The script is by Alan Schoolcroft and Brent
Simons, who are also prepping a sequel to the early DreamWorks film Small Soldiers.
Stiller kidded the superhero genre some years ago as Mr. Furious, one of The Mystery Men, and he's the veteran of two DreamWorks Animation projects, both Madagascar and its upcoming sequel, Madagascar: The Crate Escape. The release date has yet to be announced, although Stiller, now an animation veteran has a notion: "They have put the film on the fast track, which in animation terms means it will be coming out in the next 15-20 years."
