Georgia Pastor Lands Tubi Slot

As Jimmy Thomas, a writer-director based in Bainbridge, Georgia, was headed to bible study one day, he got a providential call from his business partner Kenneth Jenkins.

His 2025 film My Pastor has been added to Tubi.

The 98-minute thriller tells the story of a 'dedicated pastor in the deep South who fights against dark forces that threaten his flock. A tale of courage, prayer and redemption.' The kicker in this case is that the writer-director is also a pastor himself in real life at New Faith Life Ministries.

"If you have an idea or dream, just go for it," Thomas exhorted to WTXL-TV reporter Vanessa Lawrence. "I mean, why not? I mean, we only got so many days on this earth here, so you spend it to do what you want to do. I know you got responsibilities though, but always make time for your dreams."

In Thomas's case, those dreams include his newest film, the comedy Mr. Griffin Goes To Court, which is set for a Bainbridge red carpet premiere May 2nd. Festivities will take place all day, with repeat showings, at The Charles H. Kirbo Regional Center.

"Let's pack the Kirbo out," Jenkins stated recently on Facebook. "Show up and support our own, and prove what happens when our community rallies behind local stories. Every ticket sold, every share, every tag - it all fuels the next one. We're just getting started, family."
